While reading a book about leadership, I stumbled upon a profound insight that resonated deeply with me—many leaders fail to recognize and appreciate their team members enough. This realization struck a chord, highlighting an essential element of leadership: recognition. Recognition plays a pivotal role in motivating individuals. During a recent team meeting, I asked my team to identify the three most important people among us and explain why in one sentence. For example, hearing a colleague publicly acknowledge your positive attributes, such as always showing up with a smile and readiness to help, can significantly boost morale and drive.
